Going back in history, the area was founded in 1791 as Fort Hamilton. Fort Hamilton was located on the Great Miami River and was built to serve as a supply station for the troops. Fort Hamilton was abandoned in 1800 and renamed Hamilton in 1803. By the mid 19th century, Hamilton was producing machines and equipment used to process farm produce. During the early 20th century, numerous Chicago gangsters established second homes in Hamilton, which led to the nickname of “Little Chicago.” Today Hamilton has a population of 62,447 and the racial makeup of the city is 84.0% White, 8.5% African American, 6.4% Hispanic, and 0.6% Asian (2010 Census). Unfortunately Hamilton is a dangerous city to reside in. Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park is Hamilton’s major park and is known for its 60+ monumental outdoor sculptures.

Mason is a city in Warren County, Ohio, and is roughly 22 miles from downtown Cincinnati. Going back in history, William Mason purchased 640 acres in 1803. Originally known as Palmyra, the name was changed to Mason in 1835. Mason remained a small farming community until it was incorporated as a city in 1971. Today Mason has a population of 30,712 and the racial makeup of the city is 85.1% White, 9.0% Asian, 3.3% African American, and 3.2% Hispanic (2010 Census). The super low crime rate makes Mason a very safe city to reside in. The majority of businesses in Mason are high-tech companies, corporate headquarters, and light industries. Mason is home to Kings Island, the largest amusement park and water park in the Midwest, and to the Lindner Family Tennis Center, one of the largest tennis stadiums in the world.
